Anonymous asked: No one is stripping you of your heritage. There are "black" dominicans. I'm also from a Spanish country, I'm milk white but the people in my coast are black. They don't mind being called black, it's their color and they proudly live by it. it's just a color anyway, doesn't make a person who they are.

I never seemed to care until today.
I feel that when people choose to be ignorant and call Dominicans “black” they are insulting us and trying to strip us of our heritage.
